The abilities of students can affect learning outcomes. One capability that is closely related to outcomes the ability think logically which improves students’ understanding knowledge. This study aims determine cognitive and logical thinking in science subjects through guided inquiry model. quasi-experimental research was conducted with a non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. population all seventh grade Miftahul Ishlah Islamic Junior high School Mataram-Lombok.The sample determined by cluster random sampling technique. subjective test rubric were instruments used. Data analyzed using SPSS MANCOVA, preceded prerequisite test, ie for normality homogeneity. results showed model had significant effect on student's p = 0.000, its’ corrected mean score 95%, 71%, higher than student conventional
